CV & Biography

Living and working in the North East of England.


Graduated Sunderland University with BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 2000 and University of Northumbria, Newcastle with PGCE in Art and Design Education in 2005.

 

Work is mainly contemporary, narrative ceramic art and painting but I consider myself to be a multi disciplinary Fine Artist. 

Exhibited in various group shows throughout the UK, including:

  • The Crafts Council's Collect Exhibition in 2025 (Somerset House, London),

  • 'Somewhere, Beyond the Tide, the Wind Whispers' Alveston Fine Art Gallery in 2024 (Notting Hill, London)

  • Graysons Art Club III in 2023 (Birmingham Mac).

Solo shows include:

  • 'Don't Look at my Jugs' at The Burton Museum and Art Gallery in 2023 (North Devon)

  • 'Mapping Interventions' at Town Hall Gallery in 2016 (Darlington_

  • 'Mapping Interventions' at The Bridge Arts Centre in 2017 (Darlington).

I was interviewed by Sir Grayson Perry on Channel 4 as part of the third season of Grayson's Art Club and featured in both the exhibition and the accompanying publication - 'Graysons Art Club: The Exhibition Vol III'

I work as a subject lead for Art and Design at a secondary school in North Yorkshire and have run workshops for both young people and for charities helping women who have experienced trauma, violence and homelessness.
